14 of the Jr. NBA Tahir Foundation Scholarships will be given to the boys and girls selected as this year’s Jr. NBA Indonesia All-Stars and six of the scholarship recipients will be selected from the Jr. NBA Indonesia Selection Camp.
Five coaches will be awarded coaching scholarships based on their commitment to basketball development and their impact on the community through coaching. The five coaches will be rewarded with a unique NBA coaching experience trip.

Scholarship program Tahir Foundation and NBA.Jr back again on Indonesia. This program free and open to childern 5-14 year old. Companion between 10-14 year old will be qualify to participant in Selection Camp and National Training Camp. This program to be opened at Saturday-Sunday (19-20/3) at Cilandak Sports Centre, South Jakarta. This program opened to coaches clinic and open clinic for children at Cilandak Sport Centre.
Twenty Jr.NBA program participants will be granted a scholarship from Tahir Foundation with total value of US$20,000 for 20 winners to support their education needs Of the 20 student scholarships available, 15 will be awarded to the 2016 Jr. NBA Indonesia All-Stars. The remaining 5 scholarships is available to other Jr.NBA participants who send in their essays.
Other than that five coaches will be granted a “NBA Coaching Experience” with total value of US$15,000 for 5 winners from Tahir Foundation based on their commitment to basketball development and their impact on the community through coaching. These five coaches will be rewarded with an unique NBA coaching experience trip.
This year, program Train the Trainers will be introduced to the development of local basketball , teaching a variety of knowledge and values basket for participants , to help push the basketball experience for the young generation in Indonesia . Jr. NBA will expand its reach to more than 200 schools in Indonesia with a basketball clinic in Surabaya , Bandung and Jakarta, which will last until August 2016 and reached more than 5,000 boys and girls. The compenions will be given training on the basics of the game of basketball and the importance of our core values Jr. NBA , value Sportsmanship, teamwork , a positive attitude, and respect or shortened to STAR.
This year’s schedule will also include additional training clinics ahead of the Selection Camp on 20 until August 21 . Where 40 boys and 24 girls aged 10 to 14 best years were selected to participate in the Jr. NBA National Training Camp in Jakarta , on August 26 to 28.
National Training Camp , will be attended by NBA legend or active players , and presenting social responsibility program NBA Cares . The highlight of the National Training Camp will select 10 boys and 5 girls talent that will be known as Jr. Indonesia 2016 NBA All-Stars
The compenions to selected will be get to time for experience the unique and NBA overseas , along with friends Jr. NBA All-Stars from countries in Southeast Asia at the end of this year.
