Chairman and Founder Mayapada Group , Dato ‘ Sri Prof DR.Tahir, MBA , gave Rp 1 billion scholarship to the University of Indo Global Mandiri ( UIGM ) Palembang. The signing of a memorandum of understanding ( MOU ) or agreement granting scholarships to UIGM performed in Jakarta , Thursday ( 10/1/2013 ).
The signing of the MoU was done Dato ‘ Sri Prof DR Tahir MBA with UIGM Chancellor Dr H Djamaah Sopah MSc Ed , Founder and Patron witnessed Indo Global Mandiri Foundation ( IGM ) Marzuki Alie .
Scholarships will be delivered in stages over one year . ” This scholarship is awarded to students who excel UIGM , hoped this scholarship can really help support and education that is being waged by students . This is our commitment to help the world of national education , ” said Dato ‘ Sri Prof DR Tahir MBA .
He hoped , given scholarships can be fully utilized for those who receive it , and it is a form of concern in improving the quality of education , especially higher education . It also has given scholarships to students in a number of public and private universities.
Meanwhile , IGM Marzuki Alie Foundation Trustees and Chair of the House of Representatives said it welcomes and is grateful for the scholarship awarded Dato ‘ Sri Prof DR Tahir MBA to UIGM . This scholarship, he said , is helping students who are less capable but seriously want to learn and complete the course as quickly as possible.
Son Daughter Pepabri Previously , Dato ‘ Sri Prof DR Tahir MBA scholarships amounting to Rp 2 billion to the sons and daughters of retired union members and the military and police warakawuri ( Pepabri ) who excel , so as to help them achieve higher levels of education.
The man who was born in Surabaya on March 26 , 1952 , in 2009 received an award as the best sports coaches of the Minister of Youth and Sports.
Currently , Dato ‘ Sri Prof DR Tahir MBA served as Special Staff Coordinating Minister for People’s Welfare , Indonesian Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board member , member of the Advisory Board of the Indonesian Employers Association ( Apindo ) , Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce Committee of China ( KIKT ) , as well as Chairman of the Entrepreneur Society Indonesian Chinese ( PERMIT ).
